Ivan Bachurin

Since January 2018, Ivan Bachurin has been the head of the Association sommelier of Ukraine.
Since 2016, he has been the brand ambassador of Moët Hennessy in 11 CIS countries.
Among other achievements: the best sommelier of Ukraine in 2009, the winner of the Wine Trophy in 2014, two-time vice-champion of Ukraine in 2007 and 2008.
He started his career in 1999 as a bartender. After working at the bar for 8 years, he studied to be a sommelier. Ivan worked as a senior bartender, chef sommelier, as a cavist in one of the largest stores in Kiev – GoodWine for 5 years, 3.5 years in the famous Whiskey Corner restaurant with the largest selection of whiskey in Eastern Europe. In April 2016, he signed a contract with Moët Hennessy as a brand ambassador in 11 countries. At that time, Ivan was teaching at 6 sommelier schools in Ukraine. Before taking the position, he went through a long period of interviews that included 6 stages in different countries and a three-month internship in 12 countries, starting with Portugal and ending with Kazakhstan.
Moët Hennessy is part of the French multinational company LVMH — a well-known manufacturer of luxury items under the brands Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Guerlain and others. Ivan Bachurin is responsible for the alcohol portfolio and for such brands as Hennessy — cognac №1 on the planet, six houses of champagne — Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Don Perignon, Krug, Ruinart, Mercier; Glenmorangie and Ardbeg whiskey, Belvedere Polish vodka. Wine portfolio: Cloudy Bay — the best Sauvignon Blanc on the planet, Cheval des Andes, Terrazas de Los Andes, Numanthia wines of category “A”, as well as Château d’Yquem, the best Sauterne wines in the world. The portfolio includes 28 brands — including bourbon and rum, as well as Ao Yun, a brand of Chinese wine.
